GEICO PBA All-Star Shootout Hosted by Six Flags Team Names Unveiled

The PBA announced today the names for the eight teams competing in the GEICO® PBA All-Star Shootout Hosted by Six Flags, a special outdoor doubles event that will take place Wednesday, June 13 through Sunday, June 17 at Six Flags St. Louis.

The event will feature an outdoor doubles competition with 16 of the PBA’s biggest stars who will also make numerous promotional appearances throughout the park.

The GEICO PBA All-Star Shootout Hosted by Six Flags will air on ESPN as 15 half-hour shows airing over five consecutive weekends throughout the months of June and July. The first two shows will air Sunday, June 24 from 1-2 p.m. ET.

Action gets underway Wednesday, June 13, with the event’s official practice session, featuring all 16 bowlers practicing on the specially-constructed lanes. Thursday will see eight games of round-robin doubles competition, with each team bowling two matches. Friday will mark the conclusion of the round-robin competition, with each team bowling a final game. The top two teams will advance to the championship round Friday evening.

The event, which is sponsored by Aaron’s Rents, Denny’s, GEICO, Motel 6, Six Flags St. Louis, and the United States Bowling Congress, is free with park admission. Special PBA coupons, which are priced at $29.99 for a one-day general admission park pass including a free ticket for a child under the age of 11, are available at St. Louis area Denny’s and participating bowling centers.
