Bowler's Handbook: A Guide to (almost) Everything in Bowling!
While Bowler's Handbook is a reference and resource to all areas of bowling, the emphasis is on bowling instruction from some of the nation's best amateur bowlers, including women's record holder Karen Rosenburg (878) and 75-time perfect game roller Dean Wolf. The 144-page handbook is also a ready source for National and State bowling records, understanding lane conditions, strategies, USBC rules and bowling's history, equipment, etiquette, special vocabulary and much more. The soft cover is printed in full color.
THE AUTHOR
Bowler's Handbook was written, compiled and designed by Ron McIntosh, bowler, journalist, publisher, adjunct speech instructor at Pasco-Hernando Community College, New Port Richey, Fla., and former communication instructor and newspaper advisor at Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas.
My mom loved bowling, and she began teaching me to bowl when I was nine years old. I became so involved I got a job as a foul-line watcher and pin boy at the four-lane bowling center in my hometown, Susquehanna, Pa. Those years became the foundation for my lifelong love of the game and curiosity about bowling and the bowlers who love America's number one participant sport.
McIntosh holds a BA from Empire State College, Rochester, N.Y., and a MA from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas. He resides and bowls in New Port Richey.
